Unless the fact that MMY won't be around to tell
him what to do changes the equation...

That's interesting.  I remember thinking the
same thing at one point, but now I can't recall
why.

But why would he *take* the job if he didn't want it,
unless he thought he could eventually do something
good with it, make a contribution?
