--From my experience, Maharishi seemed to shun being touched per say-
I do remember a very loving feeling being in his presence, mostly
when he was in Fairfield, between 1975 and 1984.
I believe it is the custom, that he "keep it light" as far
as "touchy, feelie, as he seems to present himself as a lion(body
language), walking nobly and sitting in the middle, and being just
very independent and noble.
The thing is, noticing some of the gossip here related to sexual
experience; again, (just from my perspective)- I would think with
that kind of open/radiating love, there could be an 'intercourse,
just through the eyes'
It is all about Shakti, and the opening of Shakti, which Maharishi
had more of than anyone I've ever experienced, ( a friend told me
she felt that from Bill Clinton, thought he does have a reputation
with the ladies.
Anyway, I just think it's a cultural thing, and it was always great
to see the guy, in the white silk, sandals, coral beads, simplicity
of being, loving, and free.
