>From what I recall, MMY made the distinction in terms of social 
behavior more than anything else. Recluses don't deal with people or 
day-to-day affairs like going to work or lecturing to the masses or 
taking care of kids or farm animals. Renunciates could still run a 
business or be king or whatever.
