The city's Industrial Development Agency approved financing assistance to help two industrial companies and four nonprofits and grow their business. The aid will help generate about $80 million in private investment and create about 130 new jobs.
Global Country of World Peace, a nonprofit alternative health care services provider, was authorized to receive $6.2 million tax-exempt bond financing and a mortgage recording tax waiver of $175,000. The Iowa- based organization will use the funds to renovate and equip a building on Broad Street in lower Manhattan.
