I *work* in AI, man, with some of the people who invented the field. It's not like I'm gonna get terribly interested in my "off time" in discussions about whether a computer can be conscious or get enlightened. I had only one substantive comment to make, in response to a direct question, and I made it...it seems to me that the folks who chose to call their research project "Buddhabot" don't seem to have anything to do with, or any knowledge of, Buddhism. Your overall point is valid, however...the AI thread is a big step up in content from the normal political screeds and Willytext and arguments over who coined the word 'samadhi' first. :-) Unc To subscribe, send a message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Or go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FairfieldLife/ and click 'Join This Group!'
