For all those TM'ers who only use MMY as the source for their spiritual & personal growth, unless you expand your horizons and explore the overall subject of Yoga you'll be 'locked in to stupid' till the day you die!
There is a whole body of knowledge that surrounds the practice of TM that MMY compromised in order to sell TM as a science. I have a friend who's practiced TM for over 35 years and until recently didn't even know that we, as TM'ers, are in the process of awakening kundalini by our meditation practice, he was 'locked in to stupid'. I would bet you dollars to donuts even Raja Ram himself would be skeptical about the subject of Chakras and Kundalini, why? Because MMY seldom mentioned it. What actually happens when you transcend to pure consciousness? well MMY never really said, third eye, Ajna Chakra..what the hell is that! Some Hindu mumbo jumbo, right..........Wrong! My friend even thought OM was somehow, an evil sound...........there is so much MMY never explained and now he's gone! I even have friends of 'other' practices who do the same with their ah, 'guru'.
