But why aren't they willing? In the UK, MMY's appointees
ordered that checking should be charged for. People are 
not told about gummy times on the road ahead, and, if 
they buy a toaster that doesn't work as described, they 
expect an apology and a remedy without cost.

In the 70s, they got it. In the 70s, the TMO succeeded.

As a colourful London sidha once said: "MMY could not sell
ice cream on a hot Sunday afternoon in August". Back in the 
late '50s, it is reported that he nearly threw in the towel and 
went back to India because people were enthusing about an  
article in a West coast paper saying that people were flocking 
to TM to help with sleep problems. He said that TM is to 
awaken, not to help with sleep. He misread marketing then and
he has ever since.

There are those who think he can do anything anywhere. If he
were to be strapped into an Indy car, would he win?
