When John Lennon left the ashram, he was leaving on a bad note. He later appologized about the incident, the night before he died, In a radio interview. One thing, I heard about, was John wanted to see Maharishi walk on water, Levitate. And, Maharishi wouldn't do that for him. Sometimes I think John Lennon was some kind of 'John the Baptist'... The way he died, and the way he lived- to wake people up... And the haunting voice, and the effect he had on the whole culture. Maybe in some level, he was comparing his experience of a past life with Jesus... With Maharishi, and was confused on some level. But, after leaving and getting involved with Yoko, he got into heroin and alcohol. I heard that George Harrison visited Maharishi, and also appoligized for the incident. I think that Paul was just going along with what John said, in the 'Tonight Show' interview. But, after going throught the 'Dark night of the Soul', with the one legged girl... He said that TM was particularly helpful, finding peace during that period. Cynthia Lennon alway felt that the India period, was the most hopeful period, that would normalize her marriage to John...her book gives a good account as to what happened in India, and it sounded like John was really 'unstressing' after the course. He had a crazy childhood, so maybe a lot of stuff got stirred up. Anway just some thoughts on this topic, is always interesting. Who would have thougtht that destiny would provide Maharishi and The Beatles? What a trip! R.G. I
