So why are you judging Kerry? He has been hung, drawn, and quartered
by your judgmental arrogance. Bush avoided war altogether. Kerry was
on a VERY dangerous swift boat in action. There could not be two
more diametric opposites as to service and non-service, heroics and
cowardice as the Kerry Bush comparison. Bush was cowardly and hid,
Kerry saw action in a real war, in a very dangerous place.

Any judgement of mine about Kerry has little to do with his actions as a swift boat commander. I just don't find them heroic or exceptionally outstanding. My over all thought of Kerry was that he was a Trojan Horse. He was being billed by the Democratic Party as a war Hero and military man tested by fire ready to lead. I smelled a fish immediately. The democrats have no respect for the military. They try to whittle it down every chance they get and they have a reputation of being soft on defense. But since America had been attacked on 9/11 they knew they had to shed this image or never regain power again. Thus the military hero. Kerry, from my point of view was supposed to trick voters into thinking they would be safer with him as president and then the democrats could raid and sack the military budget once again for social program funding. Kerry would have pulled us out of Iraq just like in Vietnam and then begged forgiveness to whoever took power. <As for Bush hiding in the Guard, Yeah I would say anybody that joined the guard probably did so to avoid the draft and probably service in Nam. However that was not considered draft dodging back at that time. Neither were any legal deferments considered dodging the draft then. Draft dodging was not reporting for your induction  and or going to Canada to avoid it. I would say any military service is admirable but actually going to war deserves an extra measure of respect. I wouldn't call flying a military jet whether your being shot at or not an act of cowardice nor would I call seeing action in a war  zone an act of heroism. I think both men served their country well while in the service.
