Thanks Rick for posting this. Good food for thought. So the crux of
the issue and the experiment being played out here on Earth is that
basically two 'teams' have been assembled for global rule. ('rule'
in this case being defined as the means of maintenance and progress
for the planet, not necessarily expressed as a formal 'world
government').

Team One, consists of most if not all political appointees of the
current US administration, all PNAC signatories, the majority of
Congress and according to the polls, betweeen 75 and 90% of
registered Republicans. Team One has nearly unlimited military and
economic might.

Team Two, consists of all those basically opposed to the objectives
of Team One. Of those on this team, actual military and economic
might is severely limited, as is formasl organization. However they
all recognize the common desire of mankind to live in peace and
cooperation. This is their driving ethic, just as military
domination and control is Team One's.

What does Team Two have that Team One doesn't? An emphasis on
raising and expanding consciousness. What does this mean? Is it
truly effective in the way that Maharishi says it is? (1% effect,
square root of 1% effect).

Buddhists and other religious groups who engage in the raising and
expanding of conciousness have been around for centuries, and yet
the status quo has remained, and now escalated to this experiment
for global rule.

Do the effects of the spiritually awake now negate the effects of
the warmongers? As in ages past is the spiritual progress that we
each make, and so transform our lives, to be as always just a local
phenomenon for each of us, perhaps a small utopian community at best?

Or will the global power base shift, from engaging in fear and war
and domination in order to control others, to values of peace and
cooperation and trust?

So the question before us is: Will the global transformation to
peace occur, or do we remain mired in bloodshed, or do we go through
a prolonged stalemate?
