As for Blair being the point man for global warming and poverty in 
Africa, consider that his unpopularity is growing at home (largely due 
to his alignment with Bushie). So having helped to cause great chaos 
and death in the world, he now tosses a few crumbs towards the 
humanitarians, and we eagerly lap them up? 

This is a pattern we've seen all too often these days. The powerful 
take 90% for themselves, pausing to loft a few pennies our way and 
everyone congratulates them for it. Leaves me speechless.
