FWIW, it was clear to me from your initial post
that you were referring to the purportedly very
low death toll.

Oh, please.  That's the figure the British
authorities were giving out.  Nobody was
"lying" to anybody, they were just slow with
the information.

Use your common sense.  How likely is it that
they thought they could get away with the two-
dead figure?
