Wonderful. My awareness shifts after a day or so and I feel like I'm in some heavenly loka. I got to spend a lot of time very close to her, so it was really nice. When we got back from the airport we sat around with her for a couple of hours in the house where she stayed and it was fascinating to watch her mind work. She's a perpetual compassion machine. She just keeps churning out ideas to help people. When we walked in, Amrita TV (http://www.amritatv.com/) was airing a live conference in which the President of India was speaking at the inauguration of Amma's satellite based distance learning program for rural India. Amma watched that for about an hour, then began talking about various plans she had to help people. For instance, many poor Indian families commit suicide (the parents kill the children and then themselves) because they are virtual slaves to loan sharks, sometimes over an initial debt of $15, which can keep a family in debt for generations as unfair interest accrues. The loan sharks end up taking the families' land and then making them indentured workers. Amma is working to help these people and stop this practice. This is just one example. Every time a problem like this comes to her attention, she dives in and tries to help. Often her efforts make a significant impact. She went on about several other ideas like this, but said many of them had been sidetracked by tsunami relief efforts, which have been her main focus since the tsunami.
