I understand why she's upset over the joke and why she is rejecting his
apology.

This story first came to my awareness when I watched the YouTube video of his
apology. I either didn't know or didn't remember that Palin has a 14 year old
daughter, so the whole underaged theme just didn't register with me. I assumed
the joke was about Bristol. It was only later that I came across an article
that explained that it was 14 year old Willow who had actually attended the
game, and it was at that point that I could see both sides of the issue.

As I pointed out in another post, the sexual content of the joke and the
details of the current event it's based on are incongruous. You seem to be
insisting that the only aspect that carries any weight is that the joke is
logically about Bristol. However, I don't see why the reality of who was
actually at the game should carry any less weight.
