I'd be interested to see some kind of statistics showing that *any* flaming is correlated with a "world event" on spiritual chat groups (unless it's just *political* flaming, which would only be natural on any group on which political discussions aren't forbidden). There are so many different triggers for flaming, as Vaj points out, that I wonder whether any increase above the normal could be distinguished after a "world event." > > --- In [email protected], Vaj <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > On Jul 11, 2005, at 2:35 AM, TurquoiseB wrote: > > > > > ...that just after a "world event" that shakes > > > things up a little bit, and shows that the world > > > is a far less safe and predictable place than > > > people normally think it is, that there is a > > > spate of flaming on "spiritual" Internet chat > > > groups. > > > > and after someone's paradigm has been broken shattered or bruised, > > someone's Lithium level is below therapeutic range, someone forgets > to > > take their SSRI, after an Ashkenazi overclocker goes on a verbal > > precision rant, someone gets damage from toxic mold, > > vata-derrangement/unstressing due to over-meditation, doshic > imbalances > > due to heat, joining a new cult and working to hard to maintain an > > exclusivity horizon.....the list goes on and on and on... > > > > sam and sara are a busy couple....
