Dennis Wilson (RIP) was more than just the drummer for the Beachboys, which considering the era and the expectations, he did most adequately. But the Beachboys were not an instrumental group, they offered up a distinctly refreshing vocal harmony style which all the group members contributed to. I will remember Dennis for his beautiful soulful voice, both on his solo material and on Beachboys records. I will remember him too for being the one who introduced the rest of the group to the Maharishi.
