Please tell me if I am being out of line by making the following connection.

Several years ago, MUM had a murder on campus that, arguably, would have been prevented had MUM administration and faculty simply followed their own guidelines regarding crime on campus (let alone following common sense and the rule of law).

Now we have a trustee of MUM, David Lynch, publicly supporting the release of an avowed child rapist.

How does that gel with Lynch's responsibility sitting on the board of MUM? You'd think that MUM would be as vigilant as possible in holding the line on crime. And that they would want to steer away from anything that would suggest a lax attitude about crime and unacceptable behavior (sexual misconduct in one's college years is always an important consideration for a campus).

Am I being out of line suggesting that it is unacceptable for Lynch to have taken such a public position AND serve as a trustee?

Comments, please.

Actually I'm waiting for them to claim that Levi Butler is a perfect example of how TM lowers blood pressure! The study should be out any day now.
