The cumulative bill *with* extended cable was $95.  A bit much if one is 
not a couch potato and really is only interested in HDTV content.  One 
can have HDTV content with just basic cable but I also like some of the 
shows on HBO and Showtime but I get those in one of their digital 
packages along with the Sci-Fi channel, IFC, Sundance, BBC, etc.  There 
are no news channels in that package.   I hope they add  Universal HD  
so I can have some of the Sci-Fi shows in HD.
