Reid had to apologize because Obama was offended by
the remarks. Apparently during the 2008 campaign,
Bill Clinton said that people like Obama would have
been 'serving him coffee'. He will probably be
apologizing soon too, for that remark!

It's not politically correct to mention a person's
race anymore - it's no longer accepted. Trent Lott
found this out the hard way. It's not really a good
thing to group people together like that, into races
calling some people 'Texans' - pointing to a person's
birth circumstances tells us nothing about their
character.

Calling someone 'Negro' does nothing to explain the
differences in people.

That's assuming that there is such a thing as 'race'.
Not all 'groups' are 'racial' groups - and some social
scientists and anthropologists don't support the
'racial profiling' theories at all.

None of the characteristics you mention are part of
the definition of a 'race'. Social scientists don't
usually see any connection to a persons race and their
ability to make money - that's an example of racial
profiling used to justify persecution of Jews, who
are not a separate race of people in the first place.
