This is her thesis anyway. Is this from breeding? Was Sal bred, antebellum, from a long line of slave traders? Or perhaps from the slave trader equivalent of a blade runner who was trained to find replicants? Was Sal bred, like a border collie, not to sniff out and herd sheep but to catch and trade in Black people? Not too much of a stretch.
