Poverty is to blame, not some individuals. When your countries only export is
rum, how do you expect to have money to build earthquake resistant buildings?
When you live on less than two dollars a day, how do you rent or buy a home
that meets LA housing standards?

This is what the banksters do to foreign countries and are trying to do
to us right now. Much of that construction was not earthquake proof
and Haiti is highly seismic. Much of the coastal regions of India are
highly seismic. Remember the Goa quake? There were a lot of scheister
construction companies that said their buildings were earthquake proof
and turned out not to be. And San Francisco should be nothing but
warehouses. There should not be a city there as it is foolish to build
one on such a seismic area.
