It's not unusual for entire squads to be on the take in American big cities, and even Fairfield had to fire a cop (the Chief's son, to boot) for stealing from the property room, so don't think India is uniquely corrupt: "In the late 1980s, for example, some L.A. County deputy sheriffs assigned as "elite" narcotics detectives were, in reality, cop gangsters. Over a period of years, they had robbed drug dealers of more than $1 million, planted evidence and routinely committed perjury. Eventually, 27 deputies were convicted of various felonies; because of flaws in the investigation, it is safe to say that many escaped arrest." http://www.worldfreeinternet.net/news/nws92.htm To subscribe, send a message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Or go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FairfieldLife/ and click 'Join This Group!'
