Anything that shakes up Maharishi University is
grist for readers of the Fairfield Ledger,
and the trends we discuss here certainly qualify:
- Enthusiasm for TM is effectively nil, threatening
enrollments at the University.
- Wealthy people leave Fairfield as children grow
and leave school, with no families to take their places.
- Former TMers feel no ties to the University, hence it
lacks the donations that universities depend upon to thrive.
Could Fairfield end up with another abandoned campus
to sell in the next decade? Let's hope that's a stretch. But
the possibility deserves tracking.
