from Wiki:
According to Greek legend as reported by Plutarch,

The ship wherein Theseus and the youth of Athens returned [from Crete] had
thirty oars, and was preserved by the Athenians down even to the time of
Demetrius Phalereus, for they took away the old planks as they decayed, putting
in new and stronger timber in their place, insomuch that this ship became a
standing example among the philosophers, for the logical question of things
that grow; one side holding that the ship remained the same, and the other
contending that it was not the same.
—Plutarch, Theseus[1]
Plutarch thus questions whether the ship would remain the same if it were
entirely replaced, piece by piece. Centuries later, the philosopher Thomas
Hobbes introduced a further puzzle, wondering: what would happen if the
original planks were gathered up after they were replaced, and used to build a
second ship.[2] Which ship, if either, is the original Ship of Theseus?
...
We can compare the ship to M-fields, specifically, the M-field MMY established
with numerous helpers; and which he claims is a continuation of the Holy
Tradition.
...
But if we compare the MMY/TMO ship to what Guru Dev offered, we see obvious
glaring differences; in which fo the most part, numerous planks of the original
ship were discarded; with replacements unlike the originals.
Going even further, we can find completely sanitized ships such as that of
Chopra; where obviously, there's no more ship of Theseus at all!
Then addressing some of the abuses reported among the TMO people as individuals
coupled with global mismanagement; we are tempted to enter into the blame game
(and why not?),..then target the individuals and their faults, or the ship as a
whole.
...
The faults of individuals are too easy for us to hit back at and doing this
solves little; if our quest is to find fundamental causes.
In some cases yes, Adi Da was really "crazy" instead of "Crazy".
And the Neo-Advaitins are really ordinary and not extraordinary; in which case
(as Barry pointed out); we can become more amused by watching somebody eat a
taco.
...
Without going into details for now, I submit that the MMY ship as a whole has
fundamental flaws not only in individual planks, but the structure as a whole;
being quite unseaworthy from the very beginning.
The ship has already sunk but the TMO TB can't or won't see this.
...
I'm experimenting with Buddhism. That ship might be better at achieving the
goal of crossing the Sea of Samsara. However, my criteria for success must
include material benefits...(otherwise - ye BatGap Neo-Advaitins, stay out of
my life with your ridiculous claims about the benefits of "Being".) Not you
Rick. You are performing an excellent service by setting up the forum.
Let's see what the next one has to offer. Probably nothing...more
ordinariness..
