Funny!  :-)

What I'm wondering is whether it causes independence
and a lack of a perceived need for a partner to "complete" 
one's life.  That would be consistent with the arguments
about it being a "recluse mantra."  In men, this would be
considered a good thing.  In women, given the essential
sexism of the Indian system, the same phenomenon 
might be considered a bad thing in women.

Just a speculation.
