For those unfamiliar with "V", the Reptilian leader Anna liberally dispenses
abundant doses of Bliss whenever it suits her evil agenda.
No doubt, Anna is Enlightened but has an apparent free will to perform acts
contrary to Natural Law.

However, in recent episodes, the concept of the "Soul" has been introduced,
chiefly by Anna's Mom who's being held captive somehow in a dungeon. The Mom
tells Anna that the latter's evil machinations will never bear fruit since
humans have a Soul.

Anna then begins an inquiry to the nature of the Soul, at first believing it
can be found through dissecting bodies. Anna's Mom assures her that no - the
Soul is something else and can't be found in a laboratory; but Anna still
doesn't get "It"...the Soul; although she radiates plenty of Bliss. (so go
figure!).

The Mom then tells Anna that evil they - the V Reptilians - have latent Souls
but it's something that must be developed. Anna is enraged by the talk of
Souls and continues believing it's something physical.
