Please ignore the fact that I have never in my life
even *tried* another form of meditation, and thus can't
speak with any sense of authority whatsoever; I "know"
that TM is The Best because I was told it was.

* Similarly, I "know" that speaking my mantra out loud
would "weaken" it and disrupt my meditation practice. I
"know" this (again) because I was *told* this by the
person who SOLD me my initial mantra, and then SOLD
me several others over the years. Ignore all those other
spiritual traditions in which no such "You can't speak
your mantra aloud or glimpse it written down" oooga-
boooga "rule" exists. They're wrong, and I'm right,
because I'm doing what I was told to do.

Sounds to me like they never transcended their own superficial beliefs. Probably hazy TMers who habituate to the comfort of their inner haze-as-silence.

Lilly's Law

"In the province of the mind, what is believed to be true is true or becomes true, within certain limits to be found experientially and experimentally. These limits are further beliefs to be transcended. In the province of the mind, there are no limits."

"The centre of the cyclone is that rising quiet central low-pressure place in which one can learn to live eternally. Just outside of this Centre is the rotating storm of one's own ego, competing with other egos in a furious high-velocity circular dance. As one leaves centre, the roar of rotating wind deafens on more and more as one joins this dance. One's centred thinking-feeling-being, one's own Satoris, are in the centre only, not outside. One's pushed-pulled driven states, one's anti-Satori modes of functioning, one's self-created hells, are outside the centre. In the centre of the cyclone one is off the wheel of Karma, of life, rising to join the Creators of the Universe, the Creators of us.

Here we find that we have created Them who are Us."
