True; Although I may be no expert on religious texts, every book i've read (Ramayana, Mahabharata, Christian Bible, & other various scriptures) does not indicate anything along the lines of mass groups of individuals rising to enlightenment or divinity. It only seems to happen to specific individuals at specific moments of receptivity, rather than to groups of people at special moments in time.
