Many years ago, during a presentation on Vedic literature, MMY was
searching for the right word, tone and turn of phrase to describe the
abstract workings involved in Vedic cognition. He said "the great
seerÕs cognized the VedaÕs..." then paused, stared off in the distance
with a look of distinct recognition, but said nothing. Quite a bit of
time passed - then he closed his eyes. After a while he leaned
forward, opened his eyes ever so slightly and whispered Ð "...cognized
them on the level of appreciation".
