And he often decorated them. It was common for him to buy jewelry and saris for Mother Divine ladies. Expensive ones for the higher-ups, but even my wife got some nice stuff while on MD. I don't necessarily see this as a bad thing. Also Rhoda Orme-Johnson and other ladies with academic qualifications spoke at conferences if they were qualified to speak.
