An excellent point Jim, I don't read any fiction either, in fact no
books at all for a long time now - though I occasionally watch movies on
cable, mostly comedy or romance, but I totally agree on your observation
here.
I find most fiction involves an unhappy or imperfect situation, either
personal or social, and a lack of fulfillment of the characters until
the external situation is resolved which I find highly unpalatable and
quite silly. Unless I was a Curtis, Turq, MZ or even Bob who I'm sure
love fiction for the sake of fiction, because its their forte, hobby
and/or a strong like. I'm sure I would have no problem reading a book on
astrology, ayurveda and any other interesting topic that I like.
