This theme of the high and mighty, is a curious one. What exactly is
the definition of 'The high and mighty'?
Was Guru Dev, when he was living in the remote forest of India,
owning nothing but some simple things, but developing his soul, is
this high and mighty?
When King Herrod, the 'high and mighty'asked the 'high and mighty'
Salome (http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/13403a.htm) to dance,
promising she could have anything; She demanding and received the
head of John the Baptist, on a silver platter.
 When Mr. Bush, decided he was invading Iraq, like it or not, is
this high and mighty?
Would you say, that high and mighty is a term of the ego, and really
the opposite of spirituality, which has no need of the concept
of 'high and mighty', because in essence the concept 'high and
mighty' contains within it: superiority, and inferiority, which is
the basis of separation;
If the goal is to progress spiritually, and to transcend the ego,
to experience of the Oneness of Unity Consciousness, then 'high and
mighty', is foreign to the goal, and becomes the final obstacle on
the path;
As the ego makes it's last attempt to take credit, where it can to
be 'high and mighty'...
