The Buddha's shramana POV probably originated in South Asia. It is obvious that the Vedic religion was imported by Aryan speakers from Persia (Iran) and was not native to the Dravidian POV. There are no Buddha's in the Vedic heaven - only some deified heros such as Indra and Varuna.
