There's an item about this disgraceful incident on the NYTimes CityRoom blog:
http://cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/09/25/video-appears-to-show-protesters-being-pepper-sprayed/ http://tinyurl.com/3b3s7f4 The post has a slo-mo, annotated version of the video from USLaw.com. The Times is careful to say the video "seems to show..." but the video makes it crystal clear what happened. Here's the video on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=TZ05rWx1pig Shows the cop (a supervisor!) walking away and casually tucking the spray canister back in its holster. Also shows the cops who saw him use it reacting in disbelief. The Atlantic's James Fallows--a very well-known and well- respected journalist--has an outraged post about it, including the slo-mo video: http://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2011/09/an-important-video-to-watch-pepper-spray-by-a-cruel-and-cowardly-nyc-cop/245629/ http://tinyurl.com/3v5or67 I don't think this is going to go quietly down the memory hole now that it's hit the Times. --- In [email protected], Bhairitu <noozguru@...> wrote: > > News you won't find on CNN: > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=moD2JnGTToA
