It seems like you are describing the same show, although I don't remember Bloomfield, or McWilliams on the show; I just remember Cavett and Maharishi; Cavett did want Maharishi to demonstrate levitation, and he refused saying, that it was not for him to do. Cavett pressed him, saying, " You mean you won't, or you can't"; I think Maharishi, then went on to say, something about, that he has already achieved Unity Consciousness, and that's it's not necessary for him to levitate.
