How is that possible, that we would be facing Mecca everyday. Let's get real! Would you actually call what we are doing in Iraq, in any way civilized or intelligent. Is Bush the best we have to offer; he never tasted a day of war himself; perhaps if he had, he wouldn't have rushed into this madness so quickly. With the proper intel at the beginning, we would have recognized Iran, to be more of a threat, to our security, which it still is. But, they had their pre-determined agenda, to take Iraq, as an easy target, establish a puppet regeme in place of Saddam, and then launch an attack on Iran. The only problem with this stategy, is it did not turn out like they had planned because they decimated the army, which they are now trying to replace, and because they had absolutely no post-war plan. There are times to go to war, and times to not go to war. Sometimes a small war can turn into a big war. President Johnson, who was also from Texas, as you know, also liked the idea of war, for some reason I cannot comprehend. He wasted more than 50,000 American lives, as well as destroying countless lives in SE Asia. And now we are at peace with Viet Nam, so what exactly did LBJ and the Viet Nam experience prove? And what are we trying to prove in Iraq now; that we didn't make a mistake, by invading it. And how long will we be able to stick to something that not only is not working, but making matters much worse.
