Frankly, thanks for all the advice on handling my mom's death, but 
its not the DEATH that is troubling me so much as watching the dying.

My mom appears to be all-but-gone already. It's handling the almost 
empty shell and all its needs while remembering what the person was 
like that is the hard part, at least for me.
