If by any means you can get a copy of _Leela: Game of Knowledge_ by Harish Johari, grab one. Yeah it contains detailed descriptions of all the lokas--but by far the best thing about it is that it contains a fold out sheet of paper, which is a board game, really the original "snake and ladders". It was originally designed by Hindu sages thousand of years ago. It's played a lot like the kids game, snake & ladders. But in this case each of the squares is a different dimension or experience. What's cool about the game is that as you 'roll the dice', you'll often find each person keeps falling into certain patterns. So it gives you insight into patterns of delusion. As you play you can look up in the book the descriptions of brahma-loka or prana-loka or hell or cosmic consciousness. In the game reality is divided into 8 levels or rows and nine different experiences or dimensions on each. Pretty cool. The Bardo Thodol (i.e the "Tibetan Book of the Dead") describes more the traps which occur to bring awareness or rebirth into various dimensions. There are other texts in both Hinduism and Buddhism which do describe the various dimensions in sometimes lurid detail. ------------------------ Yahoo!
