I recently saw a special on India where this practice--ultrasounds to look for a boy, if not abort--has been outlawed. Consequently, renegade ultrasound centers are rampant. Millions of babies a year were being aborted in this manner until it was made illegal, now it's primarily restricted to the upper classes. They also showed the example of unwanted women who were burned or beaten. It was like something from the middle ages. ------------------------ Yahoo!
