Something weird has happened to me in the last few years: I've found that the best movies I've seen are ones geared towards children with a "Bullwinkle" bent. What do I mean by a "Bullwinkle" bent? "Bullwinkle" was a children's cartoon show from the 1960s that was geared towards children but had a wit and sophistication that could also be enjoyed by adults.
