Interesting that there is a direct analogy also to the way color is perceived relative to the amount of light available. Red for example will be seen as black in low light. Also, at both dawn and dusk, the world of sight is rendered in mostly black and white. This analogy works with the increase and decrease of light relative to time, as when comparing the colors at dawn or dusk with those at midday. Oddly, it also works with space: If you move an object like a pencil from directly in front of you, to your peripheral vision, it will lose its color, and be seen as black and white. ------------------------ Yahoo!
