1) I didn't get the impression that Tantra was comparing himself to 
Christ et al.;

2) However, even if he were, why put him down for it?  Isn't that 
exactly what the purpose of those above-mentioned Saints' lives was 
about?  Aren't their lives there for us to emulate?
