Glad that you like it, Share. The first time I traveled west of Kansas was for the '71 one-month course in Humboldt. I lived on the west coast (California and Washington) most of my adult life but never got the chance to actually live on the coast until I moved to Eureka in '06 and I didn't want to pass on the chance to learn to surf before I got too old.
And as wonderful as Fairfield may be (and I've lived there during two different periods of my life and know that it is, or can be) there's no way now that I could forgo the ocean and surfing. *** --- In [email protected], Share Long <sharelong60@...> wrote: > > WoW! I actually got tears in my eyes during the surfing footage. > Nostalgic, I've been riding the earth waves of Iowa for almost 24 years. > Sigh! > > thank you thank you thank you, so much fun, especially to realize, "I've > done something dangerous!" > > And to the person who criticizes not going all the way in on a wave: if you > do that where I body surfed, you got a bathing suit full of pebbles and sand > where the sun don't shine (-: > > > > ________________________________ > From: marekreavis <reavismarek@...> > To: [email protected] > Sent: Monday, May 21, 2012 2:21 PM > Subject: [FairfieldLife] Plight of the Torpedo People - Attn: Sharelong > > >  > A great photo article on bodysurfing with a wonderful trailer at the end of > "Come Hell And Highwater: Plight of the Torpedo People", a film by Keith > Malloy featuring Mark Cunningham who is the interviewee in the article. > > http://www.surfline.com/surf-news/mark-cunningham-worlds-most-famous-bodysurfer-on-keith-malloys-new-movie-and-more_70406/ >
