Timing would have been tight. Being There was published in 1970. It can take 6-12 montsh to write a novel. It can take 6-12 months to find a publisher, or get your existing publihser to buy the rights. It often takes 9 or more months for a book to be published after the manuscript is accepted. The Cabmbridge Center opened in 1969 if I remember. Or mid to late 68 at teh earliest. But Kozinski would have had to meet Jerry at the Cambridge Center probably 18 to 36 months prior 1970 in order to get the idea for the book, write it, and have it published. Thus mid to late 68 at the latest. 66-67 possibly, depending on the tme to write, publish etc. Maybe Jerry met Jerry JUST when the Cambridge center opened. But it seems a bit implausible. ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Get fast access to your favorite Yahoo! Groups.
