An update on the moving effort to help John Meyers:

Below is a letter Dal sent to his group of friends, and below that is an
inspiring update from Stan Crowe.

It is very satisfying to know we have accomplished the goal, but also inspiring
to know that it may be possible to give John even more healing power from the
yagyas if another $1,450 can be raised before the 16th so that a personal yagya
can be performed to address his particular grahas. Perhaps some of you know
people who know John, or would be moved by Dal’s description of his plight.
Please pass along any information that you think might inspire others to help.
And if anyone needs more information or help making a donation, don’t hesitate
to give them my email address and/or phone number (307-413-3108), or Dal’s
contact information (see below).

Thank you for all your responsiveness, positive feedback, help and inspiration!

Dear Ones,

There is a national Yagya on the 16th of this month that John could be part of,
and thanks to the great generosity of a few people today I am happy to say we
have reached that goal!

On the other hand if we are going to do an individual Yagya for John, which is
recommended because it would be specific for John's particular needs and
address the Graha that is most beneficial for John, we would need to do an
individual Yagya which would require another $1,450.

It seems to me we should either sponsor John as a participant in the National
Yagya or we should go for the whole enchilada. Either way the outcome will be
great for John. I leave it to you my friends, either dig deep and come up with
another $1,450 before the 16th, or settle for the National Yagya.

I have told you before how John has to overcome physical hardships to attend
group program but I have not mentioned the emotional obstacles he has had to
deal with as well. One morning I greeted John on his arrival at the Dome and
asked how he was doing and he said, "OK". I detected a little catch in his
voice and questioned him further. It came out that he had just received an
anonymous letter from a fellow IA Course participant stating that John was just
sleeping in the Dome and wasting the Settle's Grant funding and that he should
stop attending group program to make room for a deserving Sidha. John then told
me how his condition does not allow him to hold his head up when he relaxes in
meditation but he is not sleeping. He was clearly upset.

To me it should be obvious to anyone who is awake that John is not sleeping,
his frail frame lights up like a Christmas tree. You have to be a rock not to
notice it. A few days later, John, the shy and humble fellow that he is, got up
on the mike and gave a report on his number one experiences. It shows you how
some good can come out of any situation of adversity.

I think that a truly dedicated Sidha like John, deserves our full support so I
urge everyone to make a great effort this afternoon to come up with the full
$650. It is not much money. It may require the sacrifice of a dinner out or a
dress or jacket we don't really need but it will make such a difference in the
life of a very gallant Sidha. Just for John to know that so many of his fellow
SIdhas truly care for him will be a treasured gift for him and a great
accomplishment for each of us. If everyone who has donated so far could give
just a little more and/or if those who have sat on the sidelines so far to
waiting to see if we would gather enough funds to really make it happen would
come forward then we could easily raise another $650.

Let's do it Now !

We have collected $1,600 as of 1:30 pm.

Only two donations today, but the one for $270 took us over the top.

I talked to Charlie Heath and here's what we suggest:

I submit John with the National Yagya request today. If another $1,450 comes in
during the next few days before the National Yagya on the 16th, we can switch
him to the personal Yagya most highly recommended by the Jyotishis and Pandits,
and that would be the ideal.

Having a personal Yagya will require that John have his CLK done and then a
Jyotish reading, total cost $550. Then, one personal Yagya would be another
$2,500.

If you like, you can let John know that there have been 28 donors, ranging from
$10 to $270. Mostly from Fairfield, but a number from all across the country.

You all did a very great thing for dear John.

All the best
Jai Guru Dev
