"Triggered" is a really interesting word, because it would mean literally shooting someone in self-defense. In self defense. In defense of the self, the core beliefs, that, wrapped about the ego, form the identity. So to be triggered is to react instinctively to what one perceives as a threat to false identity - the self. So if I were someone who was "triggered", I'd spend time figuring out why.
