Maybe they're trying to fix it so you can include displaying photos via links. Yahoo is sending the message in both HTML and text format. These days probably only need HTML as the email clients can display the HTML as a readable text message. I read most all my email as text using Thunderbird and if it shows a photo included can switch to the HTML view.
