I don't recall him saying "ALL the problems" were caused by karma, I think
you are generalizing. I like the naiveté of "imbalanced water element" as
the cause of floods--hell even a hydrologist or meteorologist might agree
with that!

Because karma is not a linear or simple phenomenon. Perhaps I should post my
obligatory karma FAQ again...even a seed needs certain conditions if it is
to spring into manifestation as a plant...karma is more like that. Was this
"crop of people" sharing some common karmic causes? Perhaps.
