*********** I believe that MMY has clarified recently that he is talking about the onset of the Satyuga soon (within "hundreds of centuries," anyway), and not just some brief interlude in the Kaliyuga. At minute 56 of Part II in the 25May2005 press conference at mou.org, Bevan recounts how MMY says that it is possible for SatYuga to intrude in the lifespan of the Kaliyuga, because the wrongdoing of this age makes it weak, and possible to end its life early, just as a human whose life is full of wrongdoing can come to an early end of life. The phase transition from Kaliyuga to Satyuga evidently eventually involves a significant reduction in human biomass, although as MMY notes below, the growth of Sattva is a quiet phenomenon -- both the Hindu ( http://www.al-qiyamah.org/_/kalki_avatara.htm ) and Christian (Book of Revelation http://www.tcsn.net/king/whitehrs.htm ) texts describe the end of this ignorant epoch as being an apocalyptic event carried out by the Lord (the Kaliyuga-ending incarnation of Vishnu, "Kalki" and the White-horse-riding Lord of the Christian text are very similar, "Kalki" in Sanskrit possibly means "white horse").
