Then, when industries like food production and health care are involved, people become expendable in the face of greater corporate profits. Bad enough here in the US, but overseas the model is strictly corporate colonialism. Many of the regulations and laws here in the US, meant to stem this *blindness* for profits, go Out The Window, when these entities operate overseas. The idea behind colonies was for the more technically powerful countries to suck dry the less powerful countries.
